The Glory Hole (2012)

* This is one of my favorite spots to photograph in Jasper. You can go here at any time of day and come away with great images. Of course, sunrise and sunset are the ideal time to go, offering many stunning images.

For the next few days I will be posting images from this location, taken over the last four years. It is never the same from one year to the next.

It was -33 degrees celsius when I took this image. It was sooooo cold!!! The frost in the air looked like smoke near open waters. This was a sight to see :)

There was a quite a bit more snow on this trip, as opposed to the fall-like setting pictured yesterday.

Snow Mound

* This is an image of a tree on the top of a snowy mound. The original image was nothing special so I started playing with it. I was hoping to create a natural abstract, as our club competition theme this month is Abstract. When I applied this negative effect I got what I was looking for :)
