Ice Cottage

* I took this image at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge the first year I went to Jasper in January. Every year I go, I make a trip to the lodge, looking for this magical scene. Apparently the weather conditions need to be just right to get this to ice to form. I have never been so lucky again. Maybe next year :)

Mountain Haze

* We drove up to Marmot Basin, the ski hill in Jasper. There are some good shots of the moutain ranges from up there. It was quite hazy and the middle of the day so I used a yellow Cokin filter to create this image. I love using filters but have not been using them much lately so I decided to on this trip :)

Tracks and Shadows

* While in Jasper, I spend a lot of time looking in the snow to see what animals might be in the area. There are sooo many animals in Jasper you just never know what might be nearby. Although wolves have a presence in this particular area near Snaring River, I do believe these are the tracks of a rabbit :)
